Speaking Dates in Montana & South Dakota
I'm leaving town at the crack of dawn Tuesday and will be in Montana most of the week. A guest of the Northern Rockies Institute of Theology, I'll be speaking on the Gospel of Matthew as it shapes the church's imagination for justice (the Sermon on the Mount), mission (the Mission Discourse & Great Commission), stewardship (various parables) and worship (stories of several minor characters).
If you're in the neighborhood, stop by.
On Sunday, I'll fly from Billings to Souix Falls, SD, where I will be speaking at the Southwestern Minnesota Synod (ELCA) theological conference on the way that conflict, change and mission come together in the book of Acts. Next Wednesday (10/27), it's back home, at which point I hope to return to reading lectionary texts and writing about them here.
